Meet Thomas Bays

Personal Trainer & Corrective Exercise Specialist Serving Newport Beach, Corona del Mar, Costa Mesa & Irvine

Unlike traditional trainers, I prioritize long-term well-being in every session. That means focusing on spine health, mobility, and pain relief alongside strength and performance. My approach is holistic and evidence-based, integrating ELDOA, SOMA Training, corrective exercise, and resistance training into programs built around how your body actually works and what your life actually demands.

My Mission

My mission is to give back to my community through health and wellness. I am deeply passionate about helping people take back control of their lives, whether that means getting out of pain, building real strength, or simply moving through each day without the chronic tension and discomfort that has become the new normal for so many busy adults.

I work with clients across Newport Beach, Corona del Mar, Costa Mesa, and Irvine who understand the value of their physical health but have struggled to build a consistent practice around demanding careers and full schedules. My programs are off-site, flexible, and built entirely around you.

My Story

I know what it feels like to be in pain and not know how to get out of it.

For years I dealt with debilitating sciatica that affected everything. The way I moved, the way I trained, the way I got through a normal day. It held me back from doing what I loved and went on far longer than it should have, not because the solution did not exist but because I was not getting the right guidance. Bad coaching had made things worse, and the conventional approaches I tried were treating symptoms rather than addressing what was actually driving the problem.

What changed everything was not a single breakthrough. It was discovering that the body responds completely differently when you address it as a connected system rather than a collection of isolated parts. Combining ELDOA for spinal decompression, SOMA Training for deep postural strength and fascial integrity, corrective exercise to retrain the movement patterns that were loading my body incorrectly, and resistance training to rebuild the structural foundation my spine needed to stay well. That combination gave me my life back.

That experience is the reason I became a personal trainer. I entered this profession specifically to help people dealing with chronic pain, poor coaching, and the frustrating cycle of temporary relief followed by the same problems returning. I have sat where my clients sit. I understand what it feels like to know something is wrong but not have anyone who can address it at the right level.

My goal with every client is the same. To help you take back your life, get out of pain, and build a body that is genuinely stronger, more resilient, and more capable than it was before. Not for eight weeks. For the long term.
